Tenable Network Security Selected as Finalist for Best Vulnerability Management Solution at 2012 SC Magazine Reader Trust Awards

November 22, 2011 ·

Tenable Network Security, Inc., the leader in Unified Security Monitoring (USM), announced today that it has been named a finalist in the Vulnerability Management category by the 2012 SC Magazine Awards . Tenable’s SecurityCenter 4.2 was recognized as one of the information security industry’s most effective solutions in the Reader Trust Award competition, which honors best-in-class security products and services by SC Magazine’s esteemed reader base.

Tenable's SecurityCenter 4.2 recognized as only solution to provide continuous monitoring and assessment, real-time alerts

SecurityCenter 4.2, which changed the vulnerability management game from point-in-time scanning to all-the-time monitoring, keeps enterprises ahead of new and existing vulnerabilities with real-time alerts, continuous network monitoring and assessment and the ability to communicate and report results for effective decision making.

“Cyber attacks today are far too relentless and sophisticated for businesses to rely on point-in-time scanning,” said Ron Gula, CEO and CTO of Tenable Network Security. “Organizations need continuous coverage and actionable data, or else they’re left with vulnerable blind spots on their network.”

The solution incorporates Tenable’s award-winning Nessus Vulnerability Scanner (the world’s most widely deployed scanner); Tenable’s Passive Vulnerability Scanner (providing real-time network vulnerability intelligence and threat correlation through continuous monitoring); and Tenable’s massive database of vulnerabilities, threats and compliance data (the industry's largest such database).

“Tenable Network Security is battling a new era of cyber crime, where stealthy and persistent threats are stealing the daily headlines,” said Illena Armstrong, editor-in-chief, SC Magazine. “We look forward to hearing the stories of innovation and victory, as we encounter a new frontier of corporate security threats designed to steal the heart of an organization, data.”

Tenable SecurityCenter 4.2 was selected from hundreds of entries submitted across 33 technology categories. Winners will be selected by the wide distribution of SC Magazine readers - security and technology experts from large, medium and small enterprises from all major vertical markets.

Winners of this year’s SC Magazine Awards US will be announced at a gala dinner and award ceremony to be held in San Francisco on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. The event is a night filled with excitement, along with an invaluable opportunity to network with the top corporate IT professionals in attendance.
