Tenable Network Security Selected for DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Pilot
October 5, 2011 · Columbia, MD
Tenable Network Security, Inc., the leader in Unified Security Monitoring (USM), today announced that it has been selected for the Department of Defense Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (DoD ACAS) pilot. DISA selected HP Enterprise Services, working with Tenable for the pilot phase. HP Enterprise Services will be responsible for deployment, training, and support.
The ACAS pilot consists of each of the Services and multiple DoD and Intelligence agencies using Tenable’s SecurityCenter, Nessus Vulnerability Scanner and Passive Vulnerability Scanner for proactive network defense. Completion of the pilot phase is targeted for later this year, and the scope of the final deployment would be enterprise-wide for the DoD and IC. The program began with on-site training and launched in early August.
“The DoD houses some of the most sensitive, mission critical information in the world which requires top-notch security technology to actively and passively monitor the network, manage and aggregate sensitive data, and provide critical compliance reporting,” said Ron Gula, CEO and CTO of Tenable Network Security. “Persistent cyber threats are more targeted and difficult to identify than ever before, making event correlation and active monitoring a critical need for every business that has something to protect.”
