He serves as Tenable’s co-chief executive officer (CEO), overseeing the company’s go-to-market (GTM) functions, including sales, professional services, technical support, marketing and customer success. In 2020, Thurmond joined Tenable as chief operating officer (COO), responsible for global field operations, including sales, professional services, technical support and demand generation. Previously, he served as COO of Turbonomic, where he was responsible for aligning the company’s global operations to help customers on their journey to hybrid cloud. Prior to this role, he was executive vice president at Qlik Technologies, where he led worldwide sales and services. Mark also served in multiple global sales and operations leadership positions for divisions of Dell EMC, including senior vice president of worldwide sales at VCE and RSA.
